Bio


Dr. Troum grew up in North Carolina where he attended medical school at Wake Forest University after graduating college from Emory University in Atlanta. He completed a residency in surgery at Mercer University and then returned to Wake Forest for an orthopedic fellowship in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery. Dr. Troum is board certified in Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) as well as a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH). He is an adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at UNT/TCOM in the Performing Arts Medicine department and a consulting reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery.

Dr. Troum has been practicing exclusively hand surgery for over 25 years and has been in the Dallas-Ft Worth community since 2000. He has appeared as a medical expert in the national media including the Wall Street Journal and New York Times and has published many journal articles and book chapters on topics including arthroscopy, vascular disease, hand infections, tumors, and various subjects in general surgery. Dr. Troum was also recognized by the Texas State Legislature when he received an honorary commission as Surgeon General of Texas in 2004.

Dr. Troum brings his experience and expertise to The Bone & Joint Clinic practicing in the Southlake and Fort Worth offices.
